Who are we?
We are a nomadic family of four who travels full time in our recently completed, self-converted DIY RAM 5500 Box Truck Expedition Vehicle. We dubbed our rig “Macho”, an appropriately fitting name that matches its image.
We sold everything we owned in Jan 2021, including our 12-acre home and farm in East Tennessee, to hit the road full time in a Promaster van. Ultimately, we came to the realization that our relationships with each other and our influence over our children were more important than the money we made or the things we bought. So, we pursued an alternative lifestyle that allows us to bond as family, explore God’s Green Earth, and raise our kids the way we see fit.
Macho boasts an impressive list of accommodations & modifications that allows us to explore comfortably no matter what the climate. We like to think of this rig as our ultimate custom-made, off-grid, off-road capable expedition vehicle that we now call home.
This DIY “EarthRoamer-on-a-budget” was built in just under two months! We filmed the process for our YouTube channel and completed the project in March 2022. Prior to Macho, we spent over a year in our DIY self built RAM Promaster 3500 Extended van. And prior to the van, we enjoyed occasional overlanding trips in our Toyota Tacoma with a pull behind Crux Expedition Trailer.
We invite you to join our journey on our social media outlets, shop our rig on Amazon, find special discounts and deals on our Linktree, or just simply exchange contact info with us!
